 Wide scale arbitrary arrest of civilians in Kuttum (Northern Darfur

Several educated and well known people people were arbitrarily arrested in the past 3 weeks in Kuttum (Northern Darfur) by the authorities of the Sudanese regime and handed over to the Janjaweed. These victims were taken to an unknown location. Their lives are in a great danger.
The victims are:
1) Adam Ishag Adam, about 45 years old, he is a teacher at Kuttum secondary school for girls. He was also working for the humanitarian organization in the area Goal.
2) Suliman El-Haj, about 45 years old, he is a teacher at Kuttum Rifiya school. He was also working for the same organization, Goal.
3) Farug Ahmed Adam, about 30 years old, he was also employed by Goal.
4) Mohamedain Ali Nour, aboput 42 years old, he is a well known merchant in the city.
We appeal for all humanitarian and human rights organizations for interference to save the lives of these innocent civilians.
