Update on Jalila Khamis the detained Nuba woman activist situation
Dear All,
On June 29th , Jalila Khamis the Nuba activist had been transferred to the regular Omdurman women prison , after she her detention for 5 month in the security special detention in the same prison . Arry team following up her case spoke to her husband who confirmed the news , he said that the Security service had filed a case against Jalila to the crime against state prosecutor , the exact charges are unknown as Jalila had no access to lawyer , but Arry had made connection with human rights lawyers inside Sudan and in the upcoming days further informations on her case will be confirmed .
Jalila had been in detention with no access for family for 52 days , and yet she doesn't have access to lawyer. for the consideration of her situation her family prefer to not publish any thing on her status until they know her chances on release on bail ,which will be defined by the lawyers working on the case in the upcoming days .
Jaila's family expressed their gratitude to the organization and activist supported her , and hope they continue to do so until her complete release .
