A man in the company of a woman lifts a small boy and puts him into the machine and closes the door. The machine initiates a washing cycle automatically. Major panic follows as the couple try to rescue the boy A man Daily Mail guesses is a maintenance man watches the panicky couple and then walks away, waving his hand to say he doesn't know what to do. The mother's panic intensifies. She runs to the middle of the hall and screams for help. Dad runs to the people to ask for help. A small crowd soon gathers around the machine while mom tugs fruitlessly at the door handle. A man Deccan Chronicle identifies as a member of staff saves the day. He pushes a table aside and disables the machine at the mains. Dad, in confused panic, hops up and down like a zoo chimp while a woman walks up holding a white towel in anticipation of rescue. Dad and the man who disabled the machine force open the door and the boy is pulled out. Dad grabs his boy and rushes out of the hall with mom at his heels, both ignoring the woman with the white towel who offers assistance. The video was posted to YouTube by PrincessZebra. It has been viewed several thousand times. According to the Deccan Chronicle, the incident occurred on May 11. PrincessZebra, reports the child is recovering with minor injuries.
