Two moons on 27th August 2010
27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for.............
Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles off earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons.
The next time Mars may come this clos e is in 2287.

هذا كلام غير صحيح وهو كذبة اسفيرية ظلت متداولة منذ سنوات، للأسف سوف لن نرى قمرين ويكفينا قمرنا الوحيد الذي تزهو به سماء رمضان:

Two moons tonight? Nope, it's just a hoax
It's called the "Mars Hoax," and it has resurfaced every August since 2003.
The claim -- on the Internet and in mass emails -- is that something spectacular is going to happen in the night sky on Aug. 27: Two moons will be visible. Planet Mars will look, to the naked eye, as large as the moon, the email promises. Then, in all caps, it trumpets: NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL SEE THIS AGAIN.
That's the gist of the message that started in 2003, when Mars really did come closer to the Earth than it had been in 60,000 years. But you still needed a 75x telescope pointed at Mars for it to look the same size as the moon.
Still, every year the lie about two moons re-circulates. Scientists everywhere shake their #########, incredulous. Even NASA has written about it for its Science News, trying to track the history of the hoax and advise people to delete the email and move on.
Locally, David Ritchey, the associate director at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, gets his fair share of calls and emails every August -- about 40 or 50 a year -- from people wanting to know if it's true and where they can go to see the two moons. Even teachers and friends fairly knowledgeable about the sky have inquired.
"It's the most frustrating thing," Ritchey said. Sometimes, he says, he is amazed at how little the public understands about the night sky.
"But we appreciate greatly the opportunity to explain to people the movements of the planets throughout the sky," he adds.
The email moves like wildfire.
"It's gone worldwide. It's being fed through the internet. There's no stopping it," Ritchey said. "Every August, we get repeated phone calls about this because this things bounces around. I wish I could trace back and find this clown who sent it."
Rather than a hoax, Ritchey calls it the Mars Misintepretation. He said the message about the event of Aug. 27, 2003, has since dropped the year 2003. "That particular email has gone through countless edits and rewrites to the point where people are thinking they'll be able to see two full moons -- and that is absolutely false."
Ritchey adds: "I've told people jokingly, if you ever look up at the night sky and see something as big as the full moon and it's not the full moon, run to the basement."
"Seeing two moons couldn't happen. It won't happen. It never will happen."
Here's what is true, according to Ritchey.
"Tonight, Mars is up in the western sky right after sunset. But the only way to see it really is in a dark sky. You've got to be away from the city, and will probably need a pair of binoculars. If you've got a pair of binoculars, look at Venus and you'll see a red dot and that is Mars. Here's the real kicker: After 9:30 or 10 p.m., Mars is going to set below the horizon and you won't be to see if for the rest of the night."
