First, let me congratulate you, dear Philadelphians, for this new initiative to continue the work in one of the first schools for Sudanese immigrants in the US.
I have couple of questions/comments: Why you mentioned only the Arabic language? I know it's considered the Franco Lingua for the country however, I think you should have mentioned in the Announcement Arabic and any other Sudanese language. If you have a teacher and students for another language you should be open to offer it to the community. I also hope that Sudan History should be taught differently from the syllabus of the Ministry of Education. We need to teach history of all people, all political movements and powers along our history. In another words, we need to have a Sudanese version of the excellent work of Howard Zinn "A People's History of the United States"
