يوم السودان المفتوح
تحت شعار: سوداني الشتات بين الطموح والتحديات في سبيل مساهمة فاعلة في بناء وصناعة السلام والتنمية والديمقراطية في السودان...
ويشتمل برنامج اليوم على: ورش عمل - لقاءات تفاكرية - موسيقى وغناء
وهناك وجبات ومشروبات سودانية
ومفاجئات أخرى صغيرة سارة.
وذلك يوم:
السبت المقبل الموافق 9 مايو 2009
الزمان: الواحدة ظهرا
المكان : Riviervismarkt 5, Den Haag
هذا الشارع في قلب السوق الرئيسية لمدينة لاهاي "السنتر"
يشرف اليوم السيد فرانسيس جورج نازاريو رئيس مكتب التنسيق والمتابعة لحكومة جنوب السودان بدول الإتحاد الأروبي.
كما يحفل اليوم بشخصيات سودانية عديدة ناشطة في مجالات التنمية والسلام والفكر والفن والثقافة من ابناء وبنات الجالية السودانية بهولندا إضافة الى قيادات المنظمات السودانية الناشطة في هولندا وربما بعض الدول الأوربية الأخرى كما بعض اصدقاء السودان بهولندا وممثلين لمنظمات هولندية مختصة مثل
Oxfam Novib و IOM
حضوركم ومشاركتكم الفاعلة ستكون مصدرا لسعادتنا.
ونحو يوم سوداني فاعل وبناء نستمتع فيه باللقياء كما نتشاور ونتصارح في إهابه من أجل وحدة صلدة وإرادة قوية ومتجردة في سبيل رفعة مجتمعنا وسلامة ورفاهية شعبنا...

Sudanese Diaspora: Challenges and Possibilities of Effective Engagement in the Homeland
Riviervismarkt 5 (COS Zuidholland) Den Haag.
Dear all,
Sudan Civil Society Forum (SCSF) cordially invites you to attend a Sudan day, under the title of "Sudanese Diaspora: Challenges and possibilities of an effective engagement in the homeland", which will take place on Saturday, the 09th of May 2009, from 13.00 to 20.00 hrs, at Riviervismarkt 5, Den Haag.
Objectives:
to celebrate our unity in diversity and promote solidarity.
to highlight the involvement and the effective contribution of Sudanese diaspora to issues of concern in the homeland,
to debate the indictment of the president of the Sudan on the developmental efforts of Sudanese diaspora, and hence, to come up with adequate strategies for an effective role in peace making/building and development in the Sudan .
to welcome new Sudanese initiatives in the Netherlands
.
Activities:
1: Workshop on the impact of the indictment of The president of Sudan on the Sudanese diaspora developmental efforts.
In this workshop participants are expected to discuss the impact of the indictment of the president of the Sudan by ICC on general developmental efforts. We hope to come up with some policy recommendations that would maintain and enhance the role of the diaspora during these times of financial and political insecurity.
2: Workshop on "Sudanese Diaspora Strategies" for development:
In this workshop a debate will be started about efficient ways and strategies to contribute to peace and development. The aim of this workshop is primarily to reach a strategic planning for the coming period and to prioritize the issues on which Sudanese communities in Europe should concentrate.
To reflect on the achievements and challenges faced by Sudan Forum, and lessons drawn.
to learn from best practices of other diaspora groups in the Netherlands and their success in enhancing development in the homelands.
to investigate possible means to collect information and statistics on Sudanese migrants, remittances and potential in influencing good political practices and democratization in the Sudan ;
to consider national and international policy options for Sudan to cultivate links with the Sudanese Diaspora (investigating international and national programs, such as TRQN of The IOM and some other local initiatives) and to explore the role of GOS and GOSS in Supporting Sudanese diaspora initiatives in contributing to peace and development in Sudan .
3: Solidarity activities in the Netherlands
1- Review on the activities of El-Maygoma Centre in support of orphans in Sudan and investigate possible activities of support in the Netherlands .
2- Introducing new initiatives, such as:
-Sudanese Dutch Friendship Association,
- Sudan Anders, &
- Radio Darfur
4: Musical shows, meals and drinks (&, there will be some other surprises)!.
Expected results from the day:
1.New insights and approaches are learned about how to influence development, peace making and peace building in the Sudan in the light of the recent indictment of the president of Sudan .
2. A strategic planning is made about the role of Sudanese diaspora in the Netherlands and Europe at large with regard to peace making /building and development in the Sudan .
3. Sudanese diaspora organizations have reached common agenda to work on for the coming period and their cooperation is increasingly enhanced.
Participants:
Members of the Sudanese community in the Netherlands and Europe, representatives of diaspora groups in the Netherlands , Dutch NGOs and concerned individuals.
Partners: This day is organized in collaboration with COS Zuidholland. This activity is supported by Oxfam Novib.
