--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Internet Problem Solving Contest (IPSC) is an activity of the Department of Informatics Education, Comenius University, Bratislava and the Slovak Society for Computer Science. Its aim is to provide opportunity for secondary school students worldwide to compare their problem-solving skills and to have fun. However, the contest is open for everybody.
The IPSC is a contest for teams consisting of up to three people. Teams participate via internet. Several problems will be posted at the beginning of the competition. Each problem consists of a problem description and two input data sets. To solve a problem you will have to compute correct output data for the given input data sets. You can write a program that solves the problem or you may produce the output by hand or by a combination of these techniques. Teams submit only output data sets for judging and should not send their programs.
What do you need to participate? Access to one computer with your favourite computing evironment and compilers on May 16 from 1:45pm to 7pm GMT+2. Access to the internet (www browsing and an e-mail account) on the same or nearby computer at the same time. Finally, you need to register before the contest (starting May 1, 2003).
Please, take a look at our www page http://ipsc.ksp.sk/ for further information. You are welcome to participate! Good luck!
