تعريف :
جمعية اهلية غير حكومية غير ربحية تعمل فى مجال كذا وكذا وتقبل الهبات غير المشروطة؛
ولكن هل لكل من هذه المنظمات او الجمعيات؟؟؟!!!!!
مجلس ادراة.. (هيكل ادارى منتخب بواسطة الجمعية العمومية )؟؟؟
وهل لديها عضوية مسجلة ؟؟؟؟
وهل هنالك اصلا جمعيات عمومية عادية وغير عادية ؟؟؟
وهل هنالك حساب ختامى ومراجعة لاوجه الصرف ؟؟؟
وما هو الدعم المتلقى وكيفية توظيقة لخدمة اغراض المنظمه او الجمعية ؟؟؟
اسئلة سنتوجه بها الى هذه ...المنظمات المسماه بمنظمات مجتمع مدنى

بالضرورة ان تكون منظمات طوعية غير ربحية
قبل مناقشة الامر نضع في الحساب المؤسسين اي اصحاب فكرة تكوين جمعية وتحديد نشاطها
وحق المؤسسين في متابعة ما ابدعوه
وتتكون من جمعية عمومية
كل عضو اسمه ومهنته وعنوانه
وكذلك تتكون من مجليس ادارة يدير نيابة عن الجمعية العمومية الجمعية
وبها موظفين لادارة العمل
منسقين
ومحاسبن
تعقد الجمعية العمومية سنويا وتناقش في اجندة اعمالها الاتي
المشاريع والانشطة
والمزانية
وانشطة العام القادم اي المقترحة للعام القادم
علما ان لكل مشروع ميزانية تظهر فية الانشطة والمبلغ الذي صرف لتطبيق الانشطة
وتكون بها اصلات مالية معتمدة من المالية تظهر بها النشط والصرفاي قيمة ما دفع مثلا لشراء كمبيوتر او دورة تدربية عدد المتدربين المصروفات الخاصة من ترحيل ورق ووثائق
بالاضافة لمحك اخر وهو تدخل الشئون الاجتماعية في كل صغيرة
لابد ان تتوفر الشروط الاتية في اي منطمة
الشفافية
والمحاسبية
وعدم الربحية
ولي عودة

As promised, please find files attached with information about SUDIA's by-laws, and Board of Directors. As I told you on the telephone a while ago, SUDIA is not a civil-society organization, though it delivers certain cervices that CBOs should deliver. SUDIA is an international NGO.
I take extremen pride in being a staff member (volunteer) with this organization that is amongst the very few with integrity and honesty, and committed staff and Board.
Regarding your inquiry as to why SUDIA does not offer free courses of music or computers, my response is that those courses are not funded through a grant. Informatiuon Technology courses offered by SUDIA have fees as the progect is self-supported, still it doesn't give a return that will make it self-sustainable for long.
As for music classes taught at SUDIA, PLEASE, be informed that SUDIA's Director has so kindly allowed SUDIA to host the music courses, this means without renting the place for the teachers and their students, and by the way, the fees that music learners paid, were paid to the teachers as a means of making some earning as well. I'm copying here my two wonderful music teachers, Asim Eltayeb and Alaa Sanhory so that you rest assured that I'm credible in what I just mentioned.
As for Abbas Abu Alkalek, SUDIA also hosted his class, BUT our condition was that if him and his learners use the aircondition, then we will have to ask him to contribute even in a small amount, in the electricity bill. But to my disappointment, he was so lenient and at SUDIA's expense and his own expense, he did not stop the learners from abusing SUDIA's electricity, and they even ran away without paying him!!!! That was ONE tough lesson to us, so when Abbas approached me again to teach another course, I consulted my Boss, and desided that SUDIA for the FIRST time, will have to take a small percentage as rent and that no course will start unless all learners paid in advance to the teacher. So, Abbas agreed, I even helped him (as we always do with music classes), and announced the course for him. Abbas said the total fee of the course is 80 Egyptian Pounds per learner, so I told him that SUDIA will be paid 20 Egyptian pounds from the 80. You know what happened, learners didn't register!!!! Only very few, and up till now he couldn't gather his students.
Gasim, according to our financial system and regulations, any income received is deposite at bank to later contribute to electricity, rent, etc.
So, the course you took with Asim and paid for, the fee was all for Asim as a teacher, as that time SUDIA just wanted to contribute to both the teacher and the learners to gather together... no rent was requested from Asim or Alaa though SUDIA could have made some income to contribute to the high bills. Instead, and no regret at all, we contributed towards creating an environment through which learners can meet with their teachers, and SUDIA besides giving the place, also modestly, contributed with SUDIA's organ as an extra musical instrument that can help learners in their excersise.

SUDIA is an international non-governmental organization with a mission to facilitate the linkage of people, knowledge and resources towards improving the lives and conditions of vulnerable communities in Africa.
Founded in early 1995 by a group of young Sudanese professionals residing in Egypt, the organization was born in response to the growing needs of the refugee community in Cairo. The Initiative is currently established in Egypt and Sudan where it continues to develop and implement programmes that serve its mission.
In December 2001, the organization was registered in Sudan under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and in accordance with the Humanitarian Act of 1995. The Sudan programme aims to develop and implement interventions that will sustain and reinforce the recently secured peace in Sudan and support the country and its people achieve their part of the Millennium Development Goals. To this end our focus is on developing blueprints of innovative projects that have an inherent upscale and replication potential. Blueprints of projects that have are developed and implemented along a rights-based and participatory approach.
In Egypt, SUDIA was officially granted its registration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt and in December 2002. Located in the heart of downtown Cairo the program currently serving mostly Sudanese, Ethiopian and Somali urban refugees, provides ICT and Employment Education courses as well as support services that boost self-reliance and provide greater employment opportunities. Refugee children also feature prominently in other program actvities in Cairo. Networking and collaboration with other international and multi-national agencies is also a major element of the Egypt program.
Specializations - Frequent collaboration between SUDIA and International as well as local partners has created a pool of collective information and expertise across a broad range of development interests and sectors. These include: community–based lending; small and micro-enterprise development; training and capacity building; information technology; research and advocacy; and health care.
Facilities & Equipment - SUDIA maintains well-equipped program offices, which provide facilities, equipment and support services for project/program staff and associates, as well as small seminar rooms for seminars and meetings. Our offices in general maintain basic equipment for training program design and delivery. For larger groups and training purposes, the organization’s policy is to seek facilities on the premises of client groups, or to rent them for specific events.
Governance - SUDIA is governed by a 13 member board of directors who appoint the organization’s officers these being the President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer.
Funding & Accountability - SUDIA is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 funded through grants for special projects and donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Additional funds come from contracts for services, often with national and international agencies. SUDIA adheres to strict accounting and management procedures and ensures that these are in compliance with accepted international standards. Financial audits are periodically undertaken and published in the annual report and the SUDIA web site.
Development Interventions in Conflict Situations
Klaimendo Development Organization, a national Sudanese organization is working with SUDIA to develop a comprehensive and integrated program for the development of Klaimendo Village in Dar-es-Salaam locality, North Darfur state.
German Development Services (DED) supports SUDIA
The German Development Services (DED) in Sudan has awarded SUDIA a grant of 1200000SD (approximately US$5220) to assist the organization with an upgrade of its financial accounting and management systems.

SUDIA is governed by a voluntary board of directors with diverse background and expertise. A maximum of 13 directors may serve on the board at any given time, with each director serving a term of 3 years. Directors may serve for two consecutive terms after which they must end their service on the board. Directors who have successfully completed their full two year terms are honored by SUDIA as Fellows to the Board, where their expertise and resourcefulness may continue to be accessed by the organization.
Ngbangu A., Derik Uya, (Chairperson) is the founder and managing director of KWOTO Cultural Center, a non-profit group that promotes and experiments with linkages between the performing arts and nation building within the context of a culturally diverse Sudan. Through the group's work with displaced communities, Derek has extensive knowledge on the implications and impact that displacement plays with regard to culture and psychological displacement. His work has taken him across a number of European and African capitals where he works to raise awareness of the richness of local cultures and their role in healing wounds and bridging ethnic divides. Over the years, he has made numerous contributions as an actor, director and writer to National Radio, Television and Theatre.

Mengistu, Netsanet, (Vice Chair) has worked for the last thirty years in the development sector. She is currently the executive director of PROGYNST an indigenous Ethiopian organization serving women in Addis Ababa and Nazareth. She is also the General Manager of the micro-finance institution, Meklit. Ms. Mengistu also serves as the national project coordinator for the Ethiopia program of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Promotion of the Informal Sector. She has also worked as Vice Minister of Trade in the Ethiopian Government. During this period she served as Executive Director for the East African Constituency and as Governor representing Ethiopia at the Common fund for commodities.

El-Mahdi Y., Abdel-Rahman (Secretary/Treasurer) founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Sudanese Development Initiative. With over 10 years of experience working in grass-roots and international development, Mr. El-Mahdi has a solid experience and expertise that covers Project Management, Research, Marketing and Development, Financial and Human Resource management, and proven fundraising skills. Since founding and establishing SUDIA in late 1995, he has been at the forefront in the development and growth of the organization.

Eid A., Abdel Aati (Director) currently serving as Coordinator of the Sudan campaign to ban Landmines and as Chairperson of ROOTS, a Sudanese NGO specializing in rural development work in Abu Hamad Province, River Nile State of Northern Sudan. Mr. Abdel Aati specializes in the academic and professional fields of agriculture, education, health and community development and has extensive experience in the development and management of local community organizations and associations. Previously, he has served as Executive Director of the Sudan Council of Voluntary Associations (SCOVA). Mr. Eid holds a M.Sc. in Rural Development from Omdurman Islamic University.

Hardister A., Roger (Director) currently serves as Regional Program Director, Near East Foundation - Eastern Mediterranean Region. Mr. Hardister has more than 25 years experience in fieldwork and direct service provision, program management, technical assistance, manpower development and training, administration/management and institution building in both urban and rural contexts. In his eighteen years in the Middle East he has served as private consultant in management development and community practice for agencies throughout the Middle East Region. Mr. Hardister has a MSW, Concentration in Organization and Community Development, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. BA Psychology/Sociology, UNC-CH.

Khalil, Nagi (Director) serves as County Director for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Yemen. Mr. Khalil has 10 years experience working in development and relief with ADRA/Sudan in various capacities, including project management, planning, evaluation, manpower recruitment, development and training, administration and management. He has been leading country offices since 1997 when he became the Country Director for ADRA in Liberia, Rwanda and Yemen where he moved in January 2005. Mr. Khalil has two Masters Degrees. The first is in International Development and Social Change from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts in the USA and the 2nd is in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. He also has a diploma in Social Development from Cody International Institute in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Nelson, Kristina (Director) is a free-lance arts consultant currently working with the Egyptian Center for Culture and Art (ECCA). ECCA was founded in 2002 to record and present traditional music in Egypt as a vibrant and renewable cultural resource that bridges Mediterranean and sub-Saharan African cultures. ECCA encourages the return of this music to the critical role it has played in the daily life and imagination of the Egyptian people, countering the trend to isolate it from its original communities. She is also Manager for the Egyptian performance troupe, TUT. Dr. Nelson taught music at the University of Texas, Austin and was previously responsible for Ford Foundation arts and culture programming in the Middle East region, including the Sudan. She has a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology and Middle East studies from the University of California, Berkeley and is a member of the advisory boards of TRAMA (Traditional Music Archive, Institute of Asian and African Studies, Khartoum,). She has lived in the Middle East continuously since 1983.
