Listening to Alan Greenspan
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, a staunch believer in free markets, Described Thursday in a hearing in the house the current financial crisis as credit tsunami. he also said that he was shocked by the fact that his belief in free markets and deregulation methods had a flaw.
Greenspan said when pressured to say if he is to be held accountable for what happened, that he is “partially” to blame.
Listening to Greenspan the, engineer of free markets, made me realize the extent to which we are vulnerable in today’s complicated world. I’m more uncertain now of what the future holds for us. I’m even not sure of who is in charge of the destiny of this world.
If this is happening in America, what is going to happen in the third world, where things are just run by experiment and coincident? What is the future of Sudan? Where no real scholars and economists of schools of thought are showing traces of the future.
Well, I personally , feel that as long as we see unpredictable and unexpected phenomena , we can hardly claim that we in full control of our future on this planet.
