Peace Zone, Not Burdening Egypt and Jordan with Refugees—An 'America First - Based' Solution to Regional Stability
President Trump, your "America First" vision transformed U.S. foreign policy for the better. Your leadership showed strength, putting American interests above all. No more misguided interventionism that drains American resources. That’s exactly why the issue of Gaza’s refugees must be handled strategically—without burdening Jordan, Egypt, or America itself. Dear President, your administration should not lose the support of American Arabs and Muslims, as well as American nationalists, who are the strongest supporters of MAGA and "America First." They continue to value and uphold these principles and oppose giving Israel or any other country a blank check to withdraw what they want from U.S. international political credit.
Lessons from Dayton: America's Winning Strategy The Dayton Agreement (1995) ended the Bosnian War with a U.S.-led but regionally enforced solution. America was the dealmaker, but European and local powers had primary responsibility. The agreement was made at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, showcasing the greatness of the U.S. military. Ohio, the "Birthplace of Aviation," is home to Dayton, the buckeye trees city that taught mankind how to free from Earth's gravity by burning Earth's fuel. This approach worked in Bosnia, and it should work in Gaza. The lesson؟ America should lead but not carry the burden of others.
Why Forcing Refugees into Jordan and Egypt is Not in America's Interest؟ Relocating Palestinian refugees to Jordan and Egypt does not serve America’s strategic interests. While it may align with the vision of Prime Minister Netanyahu and his allies, it does not reflect the position of all Israelis. This approach places a heavy burden on key Arab partners, potentially destabilizing the region in ways that could ultimately harm U.S. influence and security interests. Moreover, by shifting responsibility away from Israel, this policy risks creating a precedent of over-reliance on American support. It could encourage continued requests for concessions—even within the U.S.—even though Jewish and Israeli voters have not demonstrated strong loyalty to Trump or the Republican Party in elections. A sustainable, balanced solution is needed—one that protects America’s role as a leader without overcommitting its resources.
The Peace Zone: A Smart, America-First Solution The term "Peace Zone" is better than "Security" or "Buffer Zone" because it emphasizes diplomatic stability and long-term cooperation. It promotes a positive solution that appeals to both sides, while avoiding military enforcement and foreign intervention, and aligns with America’s leadership as a peacemaker without overcommitting resources. Instead of mass displacement, the U.S. should push for a Peace Zone inside or better, along Gaza's borders on both sides, secured by a joint Arab-Israeli mechanism under U.S. sponsorship. Here are the key Principles of the Peace Zone:
✔ No International Forces – Keeps foreign powers out of the region. ✔ No Direct U.S. Involvement – Stays true to "America First." ✔ Joint Responsibility – Makes Israel and Arab states to manage security. This mechanism monitors violations, preventing either Israel or Hamas from exploiting the zone. Keeping civilians inside Gaza removes Israel’s excuse to shift its burdens onto Arab states and stops the cycle of endless demands—both in the region and inside the U.S.
Conclusion: Balance, not 'Unquestioning Support to Israel' I am from Sudan, part of the Muslim and Arab world. I say it with no hesitation, yes, we must prevent long-term instability caused by any Palestinian group, but Israel must take responsibility for the consequences of its actions. The U.S. should not be only Israel’s safety net forever. Instead of spoiling ungrateful lobbies, America should guide, not carry, ensuring a self-sustaining security arrangement that does not drain U.S. resources. The Peace Zone is the solution that protects America’s interests while maintaining control over the region without endless commitments.
