Shame on You, Oh You ‘Blabasa’ .. When Silence Becomes Betrayal..!

Since the outbreak of the Sudanese war in April 2023, life has not remained the same, nor has death. Destruction has spread from Khartoum to El Geneina, from Al Jazirah to Nyala, from Port Sudan to the very heart of every Sudanese. Institutions and infrastructure have been demolished. Thousands of civilians have been killed. Millions of women, children, and the elderly are now displaced and starving, scattered across roadsides, camps, and the rubble of their homes. Mothers now cradle dust instead of their children. An entire nation searches for itself amidst smoke, ruin, and devastation. This is not just a war. it is a catastrophe in which dignity is crushed before the eyes of a silent world, and meanings are spilled before the blood.

When the Sudanese army’s warplanes rained fire on civilians and smashed their homes and belongings as if they were enemy barracks; when schools and hospitals were turned into military targets; and when the infrastructure in Khartoum, Al Jazirah, Kordofan, Darfur, and all regions was destroyed. what did we hear from you, oh you “Blabasa”؟ Nothing but absolute silence. None of you dared raise your voice against the killer. There were no tears, no wailing, no screams. But the moment drones struck Port Sudan and a few other cities, the horns of hypocrisy exploded: “Civilians! Sovereignty! Dignity!”, as if the dignity of a citizen begins in Port Sudan and ends at the port’s docks. Is it not strange that the bombing of civilians is not worthy of your condemnation, while bombing near power centers prompts you to weep for “national sovereignty and honor”؟ Is humanity not one and indivisible؟

The accusations made by the Sudanese army against the UAE and other countries for allegedly supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the referral of complaints to international courts, and the declaration of the UAE as an “enemy state” followed by a severance of diplomatic ties. all of this is nothing but scenes from an absurd political play that deceives no one. The poor quality of its direction was clear when the decision was issued by a committee whose members don’t even understand its mandate. the so-called “Security and Defense Committee”. instead of the Sovereign Council or the official leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces. Even the army commander himself, in his address, did not comment on the decision. an obvious sign of the chaos and lack of coordination plaguing the de facto authorities in Port Sudan. It’s absurdity without leadership, a struggle of interests masquerading as “national dignity,” when in truth, it is nothing more than bubbles in a cup of shaken politics.

What crooked logic allows the army to scream about foreign support to the RSF while it itself receives direct support from Egypt, Iran, Russia, and Turkey؟ The planes it uses to bomb Sudanese homes do not belong to it-they are flown in from its allies’ airfields. Without such support, the army leaders and the de facto government would’ve long since faded into oblivion. or as the clown Minni Minnawi says, “to the celestial towers.” How do you accuse others of treason when you’re drowning in the same swamp؟ These accusations are merely distractions, an attempt to shift attention from your colossal failures. You cry foul to cover your impotence. You pretend to be patriotic while auctioning the nation off in the marketplace of destruction, under the guise of “army, sovereignty, and dignity.”

We, the Sudanese people-who have neither warplanes nor drones-condemn this war with our hearts, our tears, and our pain. We hold those who ignited this catastrophe responsible for every drop of blood spilled, every displaced child, and every home demolished, whether they wear official uniforms, false turbans, or blood-stained beards. The bombing of civilians, the looting and destruction of homes and institutions, the displacement of millions. all of it is a shared crime committed by the army, the RSF, and all the armed groups and militias allied with them. The institutions of the state-schools, hospitals, bridges, and all forms of infrastructure. do not belong to generals. They belong to the Sudanese people, who pay for them with their blood, their hunger, and their suffering.

Shame on you, oh you “Blabasa”! How did your consciences sleep while the homeland burned؟ And how did they suddenly awaken only when your interests in Port Sudan and a few other cities were shaken؟ You do not mourn for the people. you mourn for your positions and your wealth. You are not angered for dignity. but for crumbs. You have traded the nation as graveyard brokers trade corpses in the marketplace of ruin. But never forget: “History shows no mercy, and memory never dies.” The day will come when the courts of conscience precede the courts of justice, and every “Blabasa” will be asked: By what crime did you remain silent؟ By what treachery did you defend؟ By what betrayal did you contribute to the slaughter of the homeland؟

Prepare yourselves .. for tomorrow is coming, even if delayed.
