Clarification on the SPLM led by Malik Agar by Mohamed Abdullah
|
09:58 PM January, 08 2025 Sudanese Online محمد عبدالله ابراهيم-الخرطوم-السودان My Library Short URL
Over the past few days, I have come across trending news in several online newspapers, some of which carried headlines like: “A Leader in the SPLM-Agar Wing Attacks Armed Movements and Describes Their Positions as Political Opportunism.” These reports seem to have drawn on my article published on January 5, 2025, titled: “Sudan: Between the Chaos of Destructive Alliances and the Unyielding Will of the Revolution!” While most of what was reported is accurate, there are a few points I feel compelled to clarify: 1. I have not given any statements to any media outlet. 2. It is true that I was a member of the SPLM, and my last position was as National Secretary for Students. Following the signing of the Juba Agreement for Sudanese Peace on October 3, 2020, I also served as Secretary to the Office of Sovereign Council Member Malik Agar. 3. The claim that I worked in South Kordofan is incorrect; in fact, I worked in West Kordofan. 4. On August 31, 2024, I submitted an official resignation to SPLM leader Malik Agar, expressing my desire to step down from all positions within the movement, and my resignation was accepted. 5. My resignation from the SPLM-Agar Wing was due to various reasons, which I will elaborate on later. 6. Since August 31, 2024, I have not been affiliated with any political party, organization, or movement. 7. I express my views and ideas solely through my personal pages on Facebook and Twitter (X).
This is the clarification I deemed necessary.
Thank you, Mohamed Abdullah January 8, 2025
