World refugee day is an international day which is designed by united nations to honor refugees all around the world and to shine a light on the rights needs and dreams of those who are forced to flee.

The theme of the refugees day this year focuses on:

*Raising awareness.

*Educating the public about the plight and challenging misconceptions.

*Promote empathy and understanding.

*Fostering compassion and solidarity towards refugees.

What I want to focus on are empathy and solidarity because refugees are badly in need for empathy and solidarity and they are really miss them in their regular interaction with state party, partners….ect. So what do the two words mean؟

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. It also means being aware of and sharing another person's feelings, experience and emotions. So to exercise empathy all through our work with refugees ,we should:-

*Good listen to refugees when they tell us about their problems.

*We should be good at picking up on how others are feeling.

*We should think about others when they consult us.

*We should be feel overwhelming by tragic events.

Regarding solidarity, refugees need it now and more than ever. Beside that solidarity means keeping doors open, celebrating refugees' strengths and achievements ,reflecting challenges that face refugees. More over solidarity means finding solutions to the plight ,ending conflicts so that refugees can return home safely, ensuring that refugees have the opportunities to thrive in the hosting communities and finally, providing countries with resources they need to include and support refugees.
