In brief, the reason we have such an unsettled world is because the world is not governed the right way. The fact that we have sovereign states with non-democratic governments and that these states possess intelligent systems to spy and conspire on each other. That on its own, will manage to keep us volnuerable to wars and can't bring a sustainable peace. The lousy politicians every where who care nothing about the environment and the social fabric. The make decisions based on economic and political measures while ignoring the very people whom they govern and the very environment that we live in.
Theoretically:
How different will the world be if governed by organizations instead of states with sovereignty and border responsibilities? How can organizations govern the world? What existing infrastructure can these organizations exploit in accomplishing a peaceful planet?
