The Free Forum Rules and Regulations

These rules and regulations shall be known as “the rules and regulations of the free forum” at Sudanese online, which is a subsidiary of Bayan for information.

The free forum at Sudaneseonline is a worldwide web free forum for discussion and is open to all Sudanese without regard to their political, religious, or ideological affiliations. All opinions and subjects posted represent the point of view of the authors and do not necessarily represent the point of view of the board management. Articles or opinions expressed must not be in violation of the publishing regulations followed internationally. Membership requirements can be found at the following link:

The following are the rules and regulations that will be in effect as of 2/10/2005:

1. All members must submit to healthy dialog/discussion, differences, and respect for others’ opinions. Insulting another member or accusing him/her with infidelity due to his/her views or beliefs is prohibited. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

2. Insulting religions or religious beliefs or insulting prophets/messengers (without violating religious and freedom of opinion and without jeopardizing the freedom of scientific research or the right to adopt new religious views) is prohibited. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

3. Offending or making fun of a person, a group of people, a sect, a tribe, or an ethnic group because of color, gender, ethnic background, place of origin, or religion is prohibited. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

4. Republishing previously withdrawn subjects, subjects that violate the rules and regulations of the forum, or subjects that have been closed by the management is prohibited. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

5. Advertising sites that are in violation of the board regulations is prohibited. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

6. Others’ articles or quotes from others’ work must be referenced by the name of the author, if known. If the author is unknown, the reference must be indicated by parentheses and dots as follows (...). Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

7. The messenger shall not be used for any act that is in violation of the board rules and regulations. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

8. A member shall inform the site director through e-mail should he/she observes any violation of the board regulations by other member(s). It is completely prohibited reporting such violations at other sites. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

9. Commercial advertisements are prohibited without advance permission or agreement with the Sudanese online advertisement unit. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

10. Copying and submitting posts/responses to posts/ e-mails etc. from a non-member or from a different forum that offends a member of this forum is prohibited and such a person is subject to dismissal without warning.

11. Allowing someone who is not a member of this forum to post/participate using the account of a member by his/her knowledge. Penalty: dismissal without warning.

12. It is not allowed for a member to declare his/her resignation from the forum in a way to affront the forum, the management or the members. In such a case, the management has the right to dismiss the person immediately and to withdraw the resignation request from the forum immediately. However, a member may declare his/her resignation or lack of participation, for any reason, in a calm and civil manner.

13. All managerial decisions are sent from [email protected] to the members and we do not use the messenger or any other means of communication for these purposes.

14. The management has the right to dismiss a person and without warning should it become clear to the management that such a person threatens/conducts an act that is meant to destroy, paralyze, cause harm to the site, or to sabotage others rights and contributions.

15. It is prohibited to offend/insult a person or a group of people due to color, ethnic background, gender, or religion. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

16. Should a member be a subject of an insult by another member, management shall make available the address of the latter should the former takes the matter to court. However, this information shall ONLY be handed over to the judiciary authorities should they ask for it by means of a regular registered mail and not an electronic mail. The management has the right to freeze/withdraw the membership of the offender should he/she refuses to hand over the address to the judiciary authorities if the member is a seasoned member (having registered with a nickname).

17. First offense dismissal for anyone who deliberately offends someone by his/her name or anything that distinguishes the person, should the offended person files a formal complaint against the offender. The dismissal will be final unless the offended person withdraws his/her complaint.

18. It is not allowed for a member to register in the free forum using more than one name or nickname. Membership shall be withdrawn immediately from any member who is proven to have registered with more than one name or nickname.

19. Any member who is registered with a phony name shall provide the management his/her real name and the correct address upon request. Any member who refuses to provide the correct information or it becomes clear that he/she provided incorrect name and address; his/her membership shall be withdrawn immediately.

20. It is not allowed for a member to insult or threatens another member to cause bodily, mind or emotional injuries or to accuse him/her with infidelity because of his/her opinion, belief, or ideological or political affiliation. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

21. The free forum allows all members to enjoy freedom of expression and opinion, scientific research, discussion of all matters related to religious, philosophical, political, social, economic, and all other sorts of knowledge, taking into consideration objective dialog and respect for the right of others to disagree.

22. The management may, at its own discretion or based upon the simple majority of the members, presents and discusses amendments of these regulations by deletion or addition, and this should be no later than 6 months from the effective date of these regulations or whenever need may arise. The management has the right to add or delete any of these articles at anytime.

23. Matters personal in nature must be respected, and no reference shall be made to the personal matters of others or their families for the sake of touching their honor and reputation or the honor and reputation of their families. Penalty: first offense is warning and the second offense is dismissal.

24. It is neither allowed to publish false news nor to pass baseless judgment against a member or any other person. Such a person must correct the false news immediately once they have known the news is inaccurate and must apologize publicly to anyone who is hurt by the news. The management reserves the right to issue any other kinds of punishment deemed necessary.

25. The management has the right to consult the members in case of matters of disagreement.


All complaints, requests and managerial decisions shall be sent to/from the following e-mail address: [email protected] and the management shall not respond to messages it receives through the messenger, the telephone, or any other means.


The management of Sudanese Online calls upon all nationals and nobles to help her by informing her any violations that may arise by any member, through the above e-mail since the management is not online on a continuous or daily basis and because of the one individual management situation at the present time.

These rules and regulations will apply on all posts and responds that were posted since 2/10/2005 and going forward.
