Sudan’s army accuses South Sudan of continuing its support for Darfur’s rebel JEM

Sudan’s army has accused South Sudan of continuing its support for Darfur’s rebel Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), pointing out that Juba’s government is still providing the rebel elements with training inside their territories with the aim of waging military attacks on Sudanese territories.
The spokesperson of Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Al-Sawarmi Khalid Sa’ad, disclosed on Sunday that JEM forces continued to perform intensive training through foreign experts in the region of Raja in South Sudan for months for committing sabotage acts inside the country by targeting petroleum regions, banks and kidnapping youths for compulsory conscription as well as targeting markets in the different localities.
Sa’ad noted that SAF has been following that with full accuracy and it has ascended the issue to the government of South Sudan more than once alerting them on the danger of this transgression which is deemed to be a violation of international charters and the bilateral charters between the two countries, stressing that SAF and the Swift Rapid Support Forces have secured all the roads expected to be taken by the terrorists forces on its way to the states of south Darfur and enticed them to the expected battle field till the Rapid Support Forces were able till Saturday morning to clash with the terrorists at the region of Alnakhara south of Tulus locality inflicting on them sever losses in lives and equipment.
He added that SAF seized military hardware as well as capturing more than one hundred cars after some of them fled leaving behind a big number of dead rebels at the battlefield and after that the Rapid Support Forces conducted wide ranging chasing and combing operations.
