DARFUR Union in the UK: The Exodus of the Civilians from Elgeneina to Adré is yet Another Evidence of War Crimes

It is the Fruition of Political Cover Given to RSF by his Allies

As of June 15, 2023, there is a humanitarian crisis in El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, Sudan. The city has been hit by a wave of attacks by the Rapid Speed Forces, Janjaweed, which has displaced over thousands of civilians and killed hundreds. The heinous crimes has also led to a severe shortage of food, water, and medicine. The United Nations has called for an urgent Stop of Violence and increased humanitarian assistance to the civilians that managed to fled the city, walked the 35 km distance between Elgeneina and Edré in Chad, however, the road was hell as people fled empty handed, carrying none of their belonging, only children who could make it. It was a journey from hell. The civilians were attacked by Janjaweed on their way out of the city to Elgeneina. The attached resulted in some injuries and others were captured by the very Janjaweed phone cameras bragging about capturing the city and its outskirts, humiliating the civilians by making them gravel on the ground then ordering them to run for their life whilst the rest of the Janjaweed were laughing.
The lucky ones made it to Adré where the Chadian troops received them and let them settle in an area awaiting a much needed aid and medical assistance. The pressure on the small town of Adré is huge, and thousands have descended across the boarder seeking safer refuge from the Terror of RSF/ Janjaweed back in Elgeneina.
The accounts and stories of what they have left behind sounded horrendous. Continuous acts of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the civilians which as left bodies of dead persons all over the city and also inside people houses.

With the political cover given by their allies from Sudan and also from the regional and international powers have led to this lack of accountability on the ground particularly in Darfur (the killing of West DARFUR Governor- Khamis Abaker, ref. 1). The lack of deterrent and their doctrine provide a ground for spreading terror and committing atrocities in the form of extortion, looting, torture, rape, killing, forced displacement and implementing demographic changes, all of which would have not have happened without a direct or indirect political cover under the false narrative of bringing “change and democracy” to the country. Yet they have prepared the ground for Genocide 2.

Here are some of the latest updates on the situation in Elgeneina:
On June 14, various international bodies condemned the violence in Elgeneina and called for an immediate ceasefire.
On June15, US government condemned atrocities occurring in West Darfur and other areas described them as an ominous reminder of the horrific events that led the United States to determine in 2004 that genocide had been committed in Darfur (ref. 2).
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has warned that the violence in El Geneina is "a humanitarian catastrophe in the making."
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has said that it is "deeply concerned" about the situation in El Geneina and is working to provide assistance to those affected/fled the city.
The violence in Elgeneina is a reminder of the ongoing genocide in Darfur, which has been ongoing since 2003 which has killed over 500,000 people and displaced millions more (ref. 3).
The situation in El Geneina is a reminder of the importance of peace and stability in Darfur. The international community must work to find a lasting solution to the conflict and prevent further violence.

DARFUR Union in the UK calls upon the parties that is giving political cover to the Janjaweed to take a historic stand and back down from their actions. One thing for sure the course of history will be quite unforgiving. Furthermore, the following actions are needed with immediate effect to assist with the dire state of affairs:-

Provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the people of Darfur, by securing a safe passage of aid from PortSudan to the affected areas, including food, water, shelter, medicine and other essential supplies. Moreover, provide much needed aid and medical supplies to the refugees in Adré, Chad. Also DARFUR Union calls upon aid agencies to provide temporary shelters to the recently arrived refugees from Elgeneina.
Establish safe zones in Darfur where civilians can be protected from the Janjaweed militias. This can only happen by empowering existing peace forces and providing them with a clear Mandate.
Put pressure on the Rapid Speed Forces leadership and its Janjaweed branches to stop the violence and allow humanitarian aid to reach those in need. This in terms will help humanitarian agencies to allow for real data gathering regarding the number of dead persons and also help to bury the bodies that are scattered over the ground in Elgeneina, and also in Kutum and Zalingei.
Protect those IDPs and new waves of displace people that are shelterless at this very moment in DARFUR.

Failure to take immediate actions regarding the situation in Darfur, will lead to series of further killing and a nonreversible human catastrophe.
