Important developments in dialogue initiative during coming days: Sudan’s Al-Bashir reveals

    Khartoum-SudaneseOnline -Sudan’s President, Omar Al-Bashir, has announced that the coming period will see on important developments regarding the national dialogue initiative he launched last January, calling on the opposition parties and rebel movements in Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan to join the dialogue process.
    In his speech before the 4th convention of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday, Al-Bashir raveled that he has extended the invitation to all parties to meet on November, 2, pointing out the meeting will approve the report of the Dialogue Committee during the past period, besides adoption of the road map and the Addis Ababa document signed with Sudan’s Revolutionary Front (SRF) to pave away for an open dialogue with the armed groups
    He reiterated his government’s commitment to advancing the dialogue to reach its goals as long as the parties demonstrate the objectivity and prioritize the national interests
    Al-Bashir acknowledged that the secession of South Sudan had negative economic consequences on Sudan, adding that Sudan also had been facing several challenges such as the continuing of unjust sanctions on the country and continued wars in some regions, stressing that such challenges prompted Sudan to build big projects like construction of dams, electricity, roads, infrastructure, and exploring of new sources of oil and minerals.
    He hinted to the negative consequences of the decentralized governance in the country.
    "Although commitment to the decentralized governance approach, but we acknowledge some negative effects in terms of involvement of tribal dimension that is a danger to the social fabric and cohesion and national security, which requiring stop to reconsider the matter in line with the national interest, security and stability. He added
    Al-Bashir confirmed that his government was able to maintain its foreign Affairs despite that fact that some parties attempted to obstruct the country's relations with the outside world.
