!!!we CAN MAKE a diffirence!!!

I have many friends saying..ah I don't wanna live inside sudan because look at the bad situation and what does that country have to offer me.And *** no that I'm gonna raise my kids in that country with those schools n stuff....

Then you got sudanese kids studying medicine or law or whatever and right after they finish their studying they move to the Uk or right away to America, and other people complaining bout the situation and right after they get the green card from the lotery company they take the first flight to america.

My point here is that we can't just sit and complain..instead of graduating and going outside sudan we can stay in our country and try to help it and in this way we can increase the procent of educated people in the country,Or..we can graduate and go outside our country and there will be less and less educated people in sudan and believe me that's not a solution to all our problems in sudan!!!

!!!we CAN MAKE a diffirence!!! (Re: Asal2)

    Salam Asal
There is a need to understand why people are leaving and you can ask many why they decided to do so.
At the time when our universities are starving and appealing for qualified staff this government sacked professors from their jobs. I know many who rejected the lure of high salaries and modern research facilities and continued to teach in Sudan but they were dismissed from their positions by this regime.
Some dismissed for no obvious reason other than being Christians and others because their views on academic policies were not agreeable to the policy of these nutters, and I am not talking about those dismissed because they were politically against the regime.
Before passing judgement we need to understand why it happenned.
    Regards

wallahi ur absolutely rigth and I can't deny that there is ppl who live abroad sudan that still is paying alot of effort and time to help their country like for an example donate some money every year or month etc....but there are people who doesn't really do anything but complaining...and I know many educated doctors that could have helped alot to their ppl in sudan but instead they travel to the rich people who actually doesn't need so much help as sudan who is in need of big help..

Re: can we? (Re: Asal2)

As a professional, Sudan is not very attractive. In the University you learn and get interested in various things that you can't find in the professional reality in Sudan. I don't know about you, but personally I know that one day I'll go back, so I am trying to get the most out of it. I am trying to get the right experience that will help me when back in Sudan. As young engineer you need mentoring and you need to versatile your experience, and this are very rare notions in Sudan. I am taking all what I can, because I know I will not last here.

Re: as u know (Re: Asal2)

    Dear Asal

Going back to Sudan should be an extensively planned project. You have to study the pros and the cons, for you and your family. Sudan is our beloved home sweet home, but we have to be careful before going back without plannification. Everyone of us should think deeply about the consequences on himeself and his family before engaging in that big step. Moments of homesickness can push to return home to find out that you become sick of home after a moment. I think proper plannification is the keyword for the BIG RETURN.

    Tarik
