Statement regarding the tragic events of the Sudanese refugees that took place in Cairo/Egypt
In The Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most merciful
To the all, sundry western countries, merciful hearts and the human rights NGOs entirely. In time all the sincere and devoted countries around the world seeks and strife for the well being, stability, prosperity and security of its citizens.
The government in Khartoum works hard to humiliate , torture and displace their own citizens by waging allover war , while it appease the international community by crying peace , thus it needs to fast forward it’s political clock to the 21st century and to match the words with the deeds .
The people in Sudan despite of signing the CPA still live in situation more than dictatorship, and if dictatorship was something like in mathematics where you have square roots, we still in dictatorship squared. Such policies let to massive displacement of people seeking refuge in the neighboring countries especially Egypt, it seems that these people have jumped from fry-pan into the fire.
The last day- incidents by Egyptian police and security personnel’s in Cairo where more than (25) Sudanese refugees perished , other tenths wounded and hundreds were taken by the scruff of the neck , yanked out of the town and dumped in prisons uncalled for .
It is not a crime to become a refugee and human being has to respect fellow human beings. The governments of Sudan and Egypt, beside the HCR in Cairo will be held responsible for the events we deem it it’s their responsibility to save and protect them.
We appeal to the Egyptian authority not to return the refugees back to Sudan where they will face death threat or imprisonment, and we appeal to the UNHCR to interfere and seek to resettle them in other countries.
Thanks.
