The issue of the participation of the Democratic Unionist Party within the umbrella of the National Democratic Alliance in the transitional government of Sudan.

The spokesman of the National Democratic Alliance, Mr Hatim Elsir Ali, has confirmed today that the additions in the share of power offered to the Democratic Unionist Party in the agreement reached between the Democratic Unionist Party and the Government of Sudan on Thursday the 15th of September 2005 will be added to the existing share of the National Democratic Alliance that was obtained in the agreement in Khartoum between the Government of Sudan and the National Democratic Alliance, last month, concerning the participation of the National Democratic Alliance in the state institutions during the transitional period.
He also added that the Democratic Unionist Party will not participate solely in the transitional government and that any participation will be through the National Democratic Alliance.
