GOVERNMENT WELCOMES COMPLETION OF LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS IN IRAQ

Khartoum, Dec. 22 (SUNA)- The Sudanese Government has expressed its welcome and appreciation for the completion of the legislative elections in Iraq. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Sudan hopes that the elections would be another step towards realizing political stability and enhancing peace in sisterly Iraq and enable Iraqi people to govern themselves by themselves and defining their future. It added that the success of the democratic process in Iraq would contribute in enhancing security and stability in the region. HH/BT
