Khartoum, Dec. 21 (SUNA) - The European Commission has called on the European non-governmental organizations to forward proposals for funding joint projects in developing countries. In a press release issued Wednesday, the European Commission said that these projects are intended to reduce poverty through support to the poor categories of people, meeting their basic needs, improving their living conditions and developing their capabilities. It is to be recalled that more than 200 million euros were allocated for this programme in the current year, 50% of this fund was earmarked for the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries. HH/MO
