The new Sudanese government on Thursday took its constitutional oath before President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, in the presence of his two deputies Sylva Kiir and Ali Othman Taha.
At the end of the taking oath ceremony, the ministers headed to the headquarters of the Cabinet, near the Presidential headquarters to convene their first meeting.
The government was formed, 8 months after signing the peace agreement which put an end to more than 21 years of the civil war between Khartoum and the former rebels in the south (the Sudan People's Liberation Movement / Army (SPLM / A).
