Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has held talks with the Sudanese Minister for Presidential Affairs, Dr. Justin Yacc Arop.

The talks Meles and Dr. Arop held here yesterday focused on bilateral cooperation of the two countries.

The officials exchanged views on comprehensive peace agreement reached between the government of the Sudan and the Sudan Peoples' Liberation Movement (SPLM) as well as the reconstruction efforts.

Activities that would enable implement the Comprehensive Peace Accord are underway, Dr. Arop told journalists after talks with Meles.

He said the support of the people of Ethiopia and the government is important in the effort to reconstruct the Sudan.

Dr. Arop said he had delivered to Prime Minister Meles a message sent from the government of the Sudan.

Prime Minister Meles had expressed support to the people of Sudan by attending the funeral of the late Dr. John Garang, he said.
