Taha affirms government pledge to provide funding for technical and technological education
Khartoum, Feb. 14 (SUNA) - Vice President of the Republic and Chairman of the National Council of Technical and Technological Education, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, announced, at the first meeting of the council held at the Ministry of Human Resources' Development Monday, that the government would provide the necessary finance for the expansion of the technical and technological education
He said that the government aims to make this course appreciated by the students through new projects for combating unemployment and introducing education helping them to acquire skills of hand, vocational and craft labor to provide new jobs opportunity
Taha affirmed the importance of the technical and technological education as the law about the track is different in realization of the revival
Concerning the certificates, Taha affirmed granting of students of the track bachelor of Technology to render the students cope with the international technology, calling for setting of a clear timetable for the take-off of the technological and technical education besides benefiting from the exitening schools in the states as boarding houses to minimize the cost, urging training of the teachers by giving them intensive doses to carry on their roles
He stressed importance of speeding up implementation of the track to support labor market with its necessary requirements from the graduates of technical and technological education
