Taha: Securing Oil Fields was Agreed upon by Two Partners

 

Falluj, Dec. 6 (SUNA) - Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, disclosed that securing of the oil was agreed upon by the two partners, the federal Government and the Government of South Sudan, a matter that resulted in its flow without stopping during the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)

 

This came in his address to the ceremony for the signing of the framework agreement by the Armed Forces and the SPLA for securing the inflow of oil in the south in the conclusion of the seven-hour talks which were held at Falluj oil field, south Sudan

 

Taha said that the agreement for securing the oil areas affirms the intention of the Sudanese peoples to maintaini durable peace in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the First Vice President and President of the Government of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit

 

He underlined that the flow of oil represents the basis of the Sudanese economy now and in the future, whatever be the outcome of the referendum
