President Al-Bashir Lauds Role of Sufi Sects in Expanding Islam in Sudan


Khartoum, Mar. 15 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, stressed that the enmity and blockade being imposed against Sudan will only consolidate adherence of the state to Islam


Addressing a mass rally organized by Al-Samaniya Al-Garibiya Al-Hassaniya Monday afternoon in Omdurman city to honour him, President Al-Bashir the Sudanese state and people are capable to overcome all the intrigues and the so-called International Criminal Court (ICC)


He said that Sufism has expanded Islam in Sudan and taught it to the Sudanese people all over the country


Al-Bashir has praised the great patriotic and Islamic role and efforts of the late Sheikh Hassan Al-Fatih Gariballa for the benefit of Sudan and its unity, and lauded the efforts of his son Sheikh Mohamed Al-Hassan Gariballa and his brothers who replaced their father


He thanked Al-Samaniya Sect and its followers for honouring him in the big celebration


Meanwhile, the Guide of Al-Samaniya Sect, Sheikh Mohamed Al-Hassan Al-Fatih Gariballa, they honoured President Al-Bashir in recognition of his adherence and implementation to the rule principles of Islam


He affirmed their absolute support of Al-Samaniya Sect to Al-Bashir and Sudan, as well as strong stand against the conspiracies being woven against Sudan


He also emphasized the rejection of Al-Samaniya Sect to the false allegations of the so-called International Criminal Court


The mass rally was attended by the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Khidir, a number of ministers and ambassadors accredited to Sudan
