Khartoum, Nov. 7 (SUNA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Lam Akol, and the US Deputy Secretary of State, Robert Zoellick, are to co-chair the Sudanese-American talks which are due to begin on Wednesday in Khartoum. Sudan News Agency (SUNA) learned that the talks of the two sides will touch on all the files and issues of concern to the two countries, including implementation of the comprehensive peace agreement, the issue of Darfur, the bilateral relations as well as the lifting of the American sanctions against Sudan. The American delegation will meet the President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir and Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha. The visit of the US Deputy Secretary of State is the fourth in the current year. The American Deputy Secretary of State will visit Nairobi before heading to Khartoum to supervise a reconciliation conference for Darfur factions toward paving the way for the coming Sudanese negotiations in Abuja, Nigeria.
