    لم تكن نهارات الأحساء وحدها الدافئة بشرق المملكة العربية السعودية فقد عشنا لحظات من الدفء، وكما يسمق النخيل في هذه المناطق ، شاهدنا سموق شجرة خضراء نبتت في بستان السودان الأخضر والقت بثمرها وظلالها على العالم تعكس كفاءة الطبيب البيطري السوداني ومساهماته في الإنتاج العلمي في هذا المجال
    في قاعة أنيقة داخل مبنى إدارة الغرفة التجارية والصناعية للأحساء تجمع نفر أنيق من كافة دول الشرق الأوسط والعالم ليشهدوا حفل توزيع جائزة المراعي في دورتها الثامنة وهي جائزة دولية تعطى للطبيب البيطري في عدة مجالات ،هي جائزة الطبيب المتميز في خدمة الطب البيطري والمجتمع ،وجائزة الطبيب البيطري المتميز في الممارسة الطبية ،وجائزة الطبيب المميز على مستوى دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ،إضافة الى جائزة الباحث المتميز في الطب البيطري وهي الجائزة الأهم وسط الجوائز المطروحة
    صفق الحضور كثيراً والمنصة تستعرض السيرة الذاتية العامرة للأستاذ الجامعي والطبيب البيطري البروفسير/ عبد الملك إبراهيم خلف الله الحائز على جائزة المراعي للباحث المميز في الطب البيطري وذلك بعد منافسة حادة من مشاركات اقليمية لتعلن اللجان العلمية أن الأستاذ السوداني هو الأقدر والأكفأ في انتصار جديد للمسيرة التاريخية للإنجازات العلمية والأكاديمية للباحثين والعلماء السودانيين ، شعرنا هذه المعاني ونحن نتابع هذه اللحظات من داخل القاعة ،والحقيقة كانت الجائزة لكل (زول) سوداني وفخر لكل الوطن
    إن قيمة هذه الجائزة تنبع من كونها اعتراف من شركة المراعي وهي أكبر شركة متكاملة للألبان في العالم حيث تم تأسيسها في العام 1977 وتطورت حتى أصبحت أيضاً الشركة الأكبر في العالم في انتاج وتوزيع الالبان ومنتجاتها وبعض الأغذية والمشروبات ، إن تكريم هذه الشركة ذات السمعة الكبيرة للعالم البروفسير/ عبد الملك إبراهيم خلف الله هو تكريم لكل أستاذ جامعي سوداني وطبيب بيطري في سوداننا الحبيب وهي تتويج لمسيرة الباحث السوداني في هذا المجال فقد سبق أن نال هذه الجائزة من السودانيين على مر التاريخ البروفسير رمضان عمر رمضان والبروفسير عبد القادر موسى والبروفسير صابر البحاري، ولنا إن شاء الله عودة للكتابة عن هؤلاء العلماء
    لقد ساهم العديد من الأساتذة السودانيين في إرساء مهنة الطب البيطري في الخليج عبر مساهمتهم الفاعلة في انشاء كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة الملك فيصل وتعتبر الكلية الأعرق في هذا المجال حيث بدأت رسالتها في منتصف سبعينات القرن الماضي ،وظلت ترفد الخليج والمملكة العربية السعودية طيلة هذه الفترة بالكفاءات من الأطباء البيطريين ، وهنا لا بد من تحية الجيل المؤسس من السودانيين لجامعة الملك فيصل وكلية الطب البيطري التي تعتبر نواة الجامعة وذلك بدءً من الجيل المؤسس ،المرحوم البروفسير/ إبراهيم مصطفى الدسوقي ،المرحوم البروفسير محمد النصري حمزة ،المرحوم البروفسير محمد سري الدين ،المرحوم البروفسير نصر الدين عاشور ،المرحوم البروفسير عوض عبد الجليل .وندعوا الله لهم بالرحمة والمغفرة ،فقد رحلوا وتركوا ارثاً نفتخر به بالأحساء وبجامعة الملك فيصل .
    استمرت اسهامات الأساتذة الكرام من الأطباء البيطريين في هذه الجامعة وهنا نذكر بالخير كله البروفسير هاشم محمد الهادي ، البروفسير محمد طه شقدي، البروفسير سليمان السنوسي ،البروفسير الجيلاني على الأمين، البروفسير عبد القادر موسى، البروفسير الماحي بلال، البروفسير مدثر التنقاري، البروفسير الأمين دفع الله ، الدكتور تاج الاصفياء أحمد عثمان، الدكتور جلال الدين الأزهري، الدكتور بشير ادم رحمة ،البروفسير تاج السر أحمد محمد. مضى هذا الجيل بعد أن قال كلمته في ميدان العلم تاركاً ارثاً سودانيا باقي مع تراث وحكاوي وقصص الأحساء الخالدة ،وتبقٌى من هذا الجيل نقيب الأساتذة السودانيين بالمملكة واحد مؤسسي كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة الملك فيصل البروفسير/ رمضان عمر رمضان ، وهذا نموذج من أساتذة قدموا اسهاماتهم في هذا المجال حتى الجيل الحالي من أمثال البروفسير عبد الملك إبراهيم الذى كان حتى بداية هذا العام أستاذا بهذه الكلية لكنه الآن يعمل خبيراً واخصائياً للمايكروبيا بقسم المختبرات البيطرية بجهاز أبوظبي للرقابة الغذائية بدولة الامارات العربية المتحدة
    نعود لنحدثكم عن صاحب جائزة الباحث المتميز البروفسير العالم/ عبد الملك إبراهيم خلف الله الذي تخرج في كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة بغداد في العام 1984ونال ماجستير الأحياء الدقيقة في جامعة الخرطوم في العام 1987 ثم الدكتوراه من نفس الجامعة في الفيروسات البيطرية في العام 1997 ونال زمالة الكساندر فون همبولدت في المانيا وهو متخصص في أمراض الابل الفيروسية ، وله العديد من الإنجازات العلمية أبرزها انتاج وتطوير لقاح ضد مرض جدري الإبل ودراسة تكاثر فيروس متلازمة الشرق الأوسط التنفسية
    لقد كانت لحظات التكريم لوحة تجٌسد عظمة السودان ولم تسعف المحتفى به بعد انتقاله الى الأمارات أن يكون ضمن الحضور ، لكن أحد أصدقائه وأحد علماء بلادي الدكتور/ عز الدين بابكر إسماعيل الأستاذ بكلية الطب البيطري بجامعة الملك فيصل وكلية الطب البيطري بجامعة الخرطوم والاسم البارز بها كان قد قدم كلمة أنيقة انابة عن السودان قال فيها إنه لشرف عظيم للسودان ولجامعة الخرطوم ولجامعة الملك فيصل أن يتم اختيار البروفسير عبد الملك لهذه الجائزة وزاد الكلمة عمقاً رمزية الزي السوداني الأنيق الذي جاء به الدكتور عزالدين بابكر ليعطي اللقاء النكهة السودانية بالعمة والجلابية والمركوب
    أما اللحظات البديعة فقد كانت بعد الاحتفال حينما التف عدد من المكرمين من الأطباء البيطريين الخليجيين حول استاذهم البروفسير /رمضان عمر رمضان ليهدونه معاني التكريم وفاء له في أعظم جائزه هي جائزة نجاح الطلاب في حضرة استاذهم، والعالم السوداني البروفسير/ رمضان عمر رمضان هو قصة أخرى من البذل والعطاء لا شك سنعود لها لنحكي قصة أربعين عاما في رحاب الأحساء وجامعة الملك فيصل
    نختم بالتهنئة لأخينا الفاضل الذى افتقدناه بشدة في الأحساء فقد كان البروفسير عبد الملك شعلة من النشاط وسط الأساتذة السودانيين راعيا للرابطة ومساهماً في كل الأنشطة .نجدد له التهنئة وعبرة تحية من القلب لكل الأطباء البيطريين في بلادي

    Professor Abdelmalik I. Khalafalla obtained his PhD from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 1997, and received post-doctoral training as a veterinary virologist at the Federal Research Center for Virus Diseases of Animals in Tuebingen, Germany, April 2001-January 2003. He is currently a full Professor at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, where he is currently leading a research team that investigate viruses of camels, including MERS-CoV. He published over 70 research articles, reviews and book chapters. He was the head of the Microbiology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum in 2004 and the Director of the Camel Research Center in 2007. He served as the president of the International Society for Camelid Research and Development (ISOCARD) from 2012 to 2015
