Re: لماذا يحارب المسلمون التبشير بالمسيحية ؟؟ ... !!! .. موضوع هام جدا وجدير بالدراسة والمناقشة (Re: Sudany Agouz)

Dear Sudani Agouz The answer to your question is simple. Christians are known to believe in freedom of religion and conscience. Consequently, all western governments do not interfere in religious matters and consider it a matter of personal conviction. This however was not the case during the papal states' years, with its well known inquisition and excommunication. This had completely changed with the advent of elightenment in Europe and the western world, when the separation of church from the state became prevelant, beginning with the Magna Carta, the French revolution, the American independence etc. Because of this historical developments, the Church had moved away from the dogmatic principles of the papal era. Not only that the Catholic Church had issued apologies after apologies about the practices of inquisitorial courts during the papal domination of politics. Islam, I believe, is practically going through the era of papal states, where a Muslim who changes his religion is considered as an apostate, and must die. A practice that does not find support in the Koran, but is based on Ijtihad by questionable interepreters of Koran, who are after all humans, liable to make mistakes. In fact, fundamentalist Islamic organizations like the NIF and al-Gaeda do not consider the Islam of the majority of Sudanese Muslims to be Islam, and call it a "social Islam". As such, the Islam of NIF and al-Gaeda does not believe in freedom of religion, and therefore the right of a Muslim to become an atheist or a Christian, or other religions to proselyte among Muslims. Nevertheless, Muslims have the "right" to proselyte among other faiths. This is based on the mistaken belief that there is only one true religion, Islam. That is why fundamentalist Islam is absolutely intolerant of other faiths.
