Of course no, as that is a remote prospect, based on America’s secret and not-so-secret long and shameful record of protecting dictatorships across the world. Therefore the unscrupulous tyrant ruling Sudan today is sure to be preserved, at least for a while, now that he has been assigned the new role of a watch-dog, obedient and diligent implementer of American designs in the region. Thus, all hopes of change in Sudan are up in smoke. Evidently, the regime which was beginning to yield to the huge international pressure placed on it, is now emboldened by the totally unexpected support from America, so it is now rolling back from its previous self-initiated commitments to change ,because it clearly does not have the slightest intention of changing course towards democracy or rule of law. Which is good news for the numberless praetorian guards, secret police, legions of spies, undercover secret security personnel, interrogators, torturers and popular secret informers who were duly worried about their precarious future, if any degree of change was brought about. Astonishingly, the opposition factions are passively waiting for the on-set of the looming catastrophic events, without taking any action, other than loudly groaning. While America is racing against time breathing life into the fascist regime and giving it the oxygen of publicity and international recognition it badly needs. In fact, the opposition needs to do more than betting on time and foreign players, who are, logically, pushing their own agenda in pursuit of their interests. Because it is now crystals clear that the regime is keen to achieve its paramount goal of staying in power for as long as possible. Worse yet, what is peculiar of the Sudanese tyranny is that it is protected by inner-circles and parallel clandestine battalions ethnically loyal to the ruling cabal, If it collapses, so do they؟ In other words, thousands of devoted partisan irregulars, whose survival is inseparable from the survival of (their regime؟)In addition to purely-ethnic pro-tyranny militant groups which are specifically conscripted to, if need be,set on rebellious and anti-regime ethnic groups. Plus, the usual way of regime change through coup d’état is absolutely unlikely, and the few staged, years ago, were so far unsuccessful (the burial whereabouts of those involved are still today unknown؟)Moreover, officers of suspected loyalty to the regime were either, bought off, fired, and in cases, physically liquidated. But, again the regime is not as strong as it depicts itself, if there were a unified opposition ,but there is none, which is regrettably the truth , because almost all the opposition factions have nothing in common with each other, except their readiness to subrogate the regime , wishfully hoping that ,if it were ,somehow , removed ؟ Which is political romance؟ At a time when it is very clear that America’s undercover contacts are no longer kept secret ,as the CIA operatives are now retiring to the rear seats ,to make way for the professional buttoned-up diplomats to make the final touch to the unholy alliance ,which is deemed to rejuvenate the indicted tyrant who is directly responsible for the killing and displacement of millions of innocent Sudanese civilians.
