When the opposition and activists groups of Sudan called for a civil-disobedience day recently, many observers anticipated that the regime ruling Sudan against the consent of its people, would pay attention and hearken to the mounting popular discontent sweeping the country from end to end . But, much to their dismay, the fascist regime held out a dire warning to all opposition factions, defying them to come out of their fox-holes and hiding-places, if they wished to remove the regime؟ Tyrant, omer beshir, head of the regime in turmoil, was the first to start the war-of-words when he described his political opponents as being agents of international Zionism and advocates of western imperialism. Key-members of his party (the national congress party NCP formerly, the national Islamic front NIF)followed right on his steps ,vowing to crush any unauthorized move aimed at removing and/or changing their regime ,stressing that any change should be based on the long-awaited recommendations of their internal dialogue (which is on session since 1990؟) Without overcoming the substantial differences between the regime and its numerous opponents. This, more than anything else, confirms that the futile internal dialogue is just throwing dust in peoples, eyes and a formula of failure..Not a unifying-factor. But unfortunately, the collapsing regime has no other option, but to cling to its self-imitated internal dialogue, because it contains impunity and guarantees the safety of the regime’s top-officials implicated in the grand crimes committed throughout the past gloomy 27-years. But, even if we agreed to that being a sticking point, where we should shine a spot of light and try to solve, how could we understand the regime’s adamant insistence on pushing through painful unpopular reforms, consolidating its grip on power and trying to put all its opponents under its wing and endeavoring to change their priorities؟ In fact, all the aforesaid suggests that the regime hasn’t the slightest intention of taking the huge challenge of relinquishing power, which will leave its opponents little choice but to militarize the civilian opposition and block hands with its components to wage an armed struggle to topple the rotten tyranny, which failed for 27-years on end, to respond to the needs of the people and righteously communicate their aspirations. It is agony, that, this regime which killed and displaced millions of our people has not yet developed any sense of change, and is about to push ahead with the same anti-people strategy of the last 27-years. Which indicates that the old hawkish elements still have their hands on all the levers of power, which is a real potential for instability, given their organic connection with all the international terrorist groups (thousands of sleeper-cells from radical groups are vip-guests accommodated in deluxe apartments in Khartoum؟؟؟) And that, perhaps, is why Sudan decorates the headlines frequently, in crimes associated with entire container-loads of drugs, human-trafficking and terrorism. But of all other illegitimate businesses, the drug trade does not seem to be slackening, which is a glorious reality beyond doubt, because it is a state-sponsored flourishing business practiced by top-ranking pro-regime officials who became experts both in concealing the deadly cargo in fruit-containers as well as in stashing ill-gotten money in off-shore banks.
