Madiba: The symbol of freedom, justice and dignity for all world

Nelson Mandela was born in 1918 in the village of Mvezo in the Eastern Cap. He passed a way on December,6th,2013 . He is decribed by those who knew him as a giant for justice, towering charasmatic leader, brother and father. EL-Noor Ahmad, a columnist from “ Ataghyeer” a Sudanese daily edited in Arabic wrote an artcle entitled “Madiba has departed” to tell how Sudan granted a diplmatic passport to Mandela in the early 1960s . Mandela found in Sudan tears of a happy reception and an opened door for an expensive freedom .
“… South African people one Friday were woken to a Friday with Mandela no more. Mandela is the South Africa’s first black president and an aprthied icon. He died on Thursday evening at the age of 95 after a long illness closing a life with with a crednetial of achievments that made of him undisputable and prominent symbol of struggle against non-racialism, non-sexism . That endeared him to many people around the world . They see him as an icon of human dignity and the father of modern South Africa nation. The world leadesr mourned the passing of Mandela and all flags were lowered at half mast untill his funeral . Mandela’s real name is “ Rolilahla” meaning the trouble maker or some one who pulls the tree-branches in the local language. His pet clan name is Madiba, but his teacher named him Mandela as apart of English people custom to make easy pronouncing a name of a black child.
Nelson Mandela, the South African leader is enormously revered for his fight against segregation and forgving his former white jailers. He stayed 26 years in detention and eventually was freed in 1990. In 1994 vote, Mndela was elected as a head of state to retire after five years.
In his inaugural address as a South Africa president, he laid a road-map of new state as he declared “ We enter into a covnenant in which in which all South Africans both black and white will be able walk tall without any fear in their hearts assured of their inalienable rights and their human dignity – arain-bow nation nation in peace with it self and the world”.
Nelson Mandel established the Truth and Reconcilaition Commission –implemented by innumerable countries that saw violences – chaired by Desmond Tutu, the Anglican bishop. He summarized Mandela’s legacy as he said that he succeded in transforming South Africa with out hatred into a multi-racial stable democracy. He described Mandela as a symbol of universal reconcilaition. Neslon Mndela adopted “CODESA” ,the convention of a democratic South Africa that consolidated peace, forgiveness and dispelled hatred and civil war that lest Mandela interfered , it would have blown away Sout Africa.
The world has lost a great leader who has changed the course of history, built bridges of peace, dialogue and a man who is passioante of defending freedom, justice and democracy . By his death, he left behind a mark in the fight against racism, an imprint that will never ever be obliterated . His legacy of struggle for the sake of his own people, the oppressed of the world will remain etched on the history pages and in the hearts of people whom he represented their dignity .
In his memoirs, Mandela described his visit to Khartoum in 1962 . The plane touched on soil of Sudan. He strode towards the passport Control . He held no passport . He carried little travelling document that introduced him a citizen of South Africa and that he was allowed to leave and come back to Tanganiga . He handed the paper to an old Sudanese passport official . He scanned his face, stamped it and waved him through Khartoum saying “ Wellcome to Sudan, my son!”
That is Khartoum, the place which supported not only Mandel but aslo other insurrgents of Africa liberation. Mandel was and will remain forvere as a symbol of freedom and independence for the freest of the world.
