Delegation of Czech Foreign Ministry briefed on investment prospects in Sudan
Khartoum, Sept. 25 (SUNA) - The State Minister at the Ministry of Investment Osama Faisal met at office Monday with Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs at the State of Czech Martin Talaba and the delegation accompanying him including a number of businessmen and Czech Ambassador to Egypt.
The meeting discussed ways of developing economic cooperation between the two countries and investment opportunities in Sudan in the agricultural, mineral, health and chemical fields.
The minister acquainted the delegation with the economic developments in the country and the government efforts in attracting foreign investments and creating favourable investment climate, affirming that the investment laws in Sudan are consistent with the development of global investment dynamisms. He reviewed investment opportunities in Sudan including agricultural, industrial, service and mineral sectors, stressing Sudan welcoming to the Czech businessmen and investors.
Meanwhile, the Czech Deputy Foreign Minister explained that the meeting came within the framework of getting acquainted with the Sudan investment potentials, affirming their desire to engage in to direct and indirect investment partnerships, particularly in the fields of alternative energy production and agriculture.
The meeting underscored importance of exchanging visits and holding forums between the private sectors in the two countries in order to create investment and economic partnerships.
