Khartoum, 14 June (SUNA)- The First Vice President, lt Gen Bakri Hassan Salih, has called for full coordination, continuation of negotiations and meetings with south Sudan on revision of the transitional fees arrangement, pointing to the current petroleum and other economic matter agreement of relevance signed by the two sides to organize cooperation in this field.
The Minister of Petroleum, Dr Mohamed Zayed Awad who called on the First Vice President today said Gen Bakri has also instructed that economic studies in the field of energy and the uses of the cheapest types of fuels, should be carried out to help in the production of thermal electricity, as well as adopting all measure to meet the requirement of each season in fuels.
Dr Awad said he also briefed the First Vice President of the Republic on the Petroleum products situation and that he has also confirmed that there were enough fuel supplies to cover the needs of the agriculture and electricity sectors for this season, stressing that the fuel situation was assuring.
The Minister said he also briefed the First Vice President of the Republic on the activities of the Sudanese Belarusian Ministerial Committee which met in April this year to review a number of agreements in the agriculture, education and scientific research domains.
He said the First Vice president has instructed that Sudan should make use of the huge Belarusian experience in the area of heavy industries and in the Mechanical agricultural industries.
