Khartoum, May 4 (SUNA) - The State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Obeidalla Mohamed Obeidalla, Wednesday morning received in his office the visiting Deputy Speaker of South Sudan Parliament, Jasmine Samuel, and the accompanying delegation.
The Deputy Speaker of South Sudan Parliament said that her visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs came in the context of South Sudan Parliament to contribute to strengthening further the relations between Sudan and South Sudan and in recognition of the leading role of the Foreign Ministry for following up and speeding implementation of the agreements which were signed between the two countries.
She referred to the outcome of the meetings between her delegation and deputies of Sudan National Assembly, indicating that these meeting have discussed the agreements of the four freedoms and the nine economic cooperation as well as issues of the borders and trade and the mechanisms of implementing these agreements and the situation of the people of South Sudan in Sudan.
Meanwhile, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Obeidalla has welcomed the delegation of South Sudan Parliament and congratulated them on formation of South Sudan government.
He affirmed Sudan support to the efforts for realizing peace and stability in South Sudan.
He affirmed the importance of meetings between the two sides for speeding up implementation of the agreements which were signed between the two countries.
