Khartoum, March 25 (SUNA) - The Head of the National Federation of Sudanese Youth Dr. Shogar Bashar stressed that the administrative referendum in Darfur states was one of the key issues that must be completed as it is a constitutional requirement for the people of Darfur.
He pointed out, in a statement to SUNA, to the readiness of all youth associations to provide support and assistance and overcome all difficulties hindering the referendum committees to be able to accomplish their mission.
Dr. Bashar urged all the citizens to participate in the referendum according to their own desires and aspirations, adding that his federation gave directives to its bases at the five Darfur states to cast their ballots on the administrative status of Darfur, and to support and alert the citizens on the importance of voting.
The Chairman of the National Youth Federation explained that the administrative referendum in Darfur was far from the misconceptions being circulated by some people, revealing that the referendum has nothing to do with the secession or self-determination, however it only aims to determine the administrative status of Darfur.
Dr. Bashar added that the youth have been preparing from now to receive the President of the Republic during his scheduled visit early next April, stressing that the youth will actively participate in the success of the administrative referendum in Darfur states.
