Khartoum, Feb. 3 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed the state's trend to seize arms from the citizens toward keeping security and stability in Darfur states.
During his meeting Wednesday at the Republican Palace with the Chairman of Darfur Regional Authority, Dr. Al-Tigani Sessi, President Al-Bashir pledged to remove all the financial obstacles facing Darfur Regional Authority.
In a press statement after the meeting, Dr. Sessi said that he informed the President of the Republic with the security situation in Darfur region, especially in West Darfur State.
He said that Darfur Regional Authority has affirmed the importance of imposing the state's dignity, especially with regard to seizing weapons from citizens.
He said that the meeting discussed the challenges facing Darfur Regional Authority concerning the funding of development projects and programs.
He said that he informed the President of the Republic on the firm stance of Darfur Regional Authority on holding of the Darfur administrative reform, in accordance with the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur.
