Khartoum, Feb. 1 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has described the Sudanese - Chinese relations as strategic and progressing, affirming his keenness to consolidate further the bilateral relations in the political, economic and social fields. This came when President Al-Bashir received in his office at the Republican Palace Monday the former Minister of Petroleum and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Strengthening the Sino-Sudanese relations. Dr. Awad Al-Jaz. President Al-Bashir has congratulated Dr. Al-Jaz on his honouring by the President of China who awarded him the Outstanding Contribution Prize among 10 international prominent personalities. In a statement to SUNA, Dr. Al-Jaz has pledged to continue his efforts for cementing the relations between Sudan and China in all fields. He said that the committee for enhancing the Sudanese - Chinese relations will hold a meeting in the coming period toward strengthening further the strategic relations between the two countries.
