Khartoum, Jan. 13 (SUNA)- The Secretary General of the Council for African Political Parties, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, received in his office Wednesday the Executive Director of Sokara Organization and member of the African National Congress (ANC), Matoli Monshikha, and discussed means of consolidating the cultural relations between the African peoples.
In a press statement, the council's Secretary General, Mohamed Yousif Abdalla, said that the meeting has discussed ways of bolstering the African cultural relations and benefiting from the African cultural diversity for boosting the African dignity and pride and surpassing the negative impacts of colonialism.
He said that the Council of African Political Parties obtains a programme which is approved by UNESCO on works of African scholars and the teaching of African history for secondary school students.
He referred to the possibility of cooperation with Sokara Organization for enhancing human development in Africa.
Meanwhile, Dr. Monshikha indicated that his visit aims for strengthening the cultural relations between the African peoples and benefiting from the Nile civilization which is considered the basis for human and African civilizations.
Dr, Monshikha said that he will visit a number of antiquities' sites in Nahral-Neil State.
