Chairman of Swedish Red Cross to visit Sudan Thursday

Khartoum, Nov. 4 (SUNA) The chairman of the Swedish Red Cross, accompanied by the director of the disasters administration and the regional representive to east Africa, are due to arrive the country tomorrow , Thursday, in a visit to the Sudanese Red Crescent Society to inspect the joint activities and cooperation between the two societies.
The visiting delegation will meet with the chairman of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, prof. Hussein Suleiman Abu-Salih, the department's directors and the coordinators of the society programs.
The meeting will review a number of issues among them the current priorities and challenges, the strengthening of the assisting role of the partners with the focus on the issues of immigration and asylum.
The delegation will also pay a field visit to branch of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in Khartoum State to inspect its activities particularly the volunteers' activities.
