Sudan’s Foreign Ministry summoned on Monday the Canadian Charge d’affaires in Khartoum to protest the statement issued by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 20th of April 2015, in which it questioned the integrity of the Sudanese elections.
The General director of the bilateral and regional relations at the ministry, Ali Al Sadiq, told the Canadian diplomat that the elections are internal Sudanese affairs in which only the Sudanese have to decide and no other county or party has to intervene, adding that Sudan does not intervene in the assessment or evolution of elections in other countries.
Sudanese diplomat reminded the Canadian diplomat that he elections were monitored by 225 observers regional and international, and that none of them has reported any breaches in the elections reminding the diplomat that as ambassador of his country in Khartoum he has to report these facts and developments in the Sudan be they political or economic in all integrity and neutrality and that he has also to seek the development of bilateral relations with the Sudan and resolving any problems that would obstruct development and stability with the Sudan.
