Participating in the Spring Meetings in Washington realized positive results: Sudan’s Finance Minis

Sudan’s Finance and National Economy Minister, Badr-Eddin Mahmoud, disclosed on Monday that he has briefed President Omer Al-Bashir on the outcome of his visit the Washington to attend the Spring Meetings of the Breton woods Institution (the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, IMF).
In press statements after his meeting with Al-Bashir on Monday, the minister said that the visit realized positive results, pointing out that he discussed with officials from the World Bank and IMF the relations between them and Sudan, adding that that he briefed a number of American officials, including the Secretary of Treasury and Congressional members, the developments in Sudan, urging them to lift sanctions and write-off the debts on Sudan.
The minister revealed that it was the first time to prepare a meeting with the prominent media organs in the United States of America besides a number of activists of international relations in a round table to discuss the issues of siege and debts organized by the Atlanta Centre for Studies and Research, a centre which contributes to the decision making in America, stressing that the workshop outcomes was positive.
