The head of the regulatory sector of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Al-Hassan al-Mirghani, stressed the necessity of holding of the national dialogue inside, downplaying the process of transferring of the country's problems abroad.
Al-Mirghani, who is the DUP chief’s son, told Sudan Media Center (SMC) on Friday that staying at 5-star hotels will not solve the issues of the country, pointing out that the other countries don't come to solve their problems in Sudan.
“We have been working abroad since 1990 and finally came back to the country after Sudan has witnessed a change that can be noticed by all Sudanese people” He added
He confirmed that Sudanese are able to resolve their issues at home.
Al-Mirghani was accused by senior party figures of forging a letter that names him as representative before Sudan’s National Elections Commission (NEC).
These figures who oppose having the DUP contest in the elections, assert that the move was done behind their backs and without the consent of the party’s institutions.
