Sudan’s exports (17,000) tons of the gum Arabic to the United States

Sudan’s Foreign Trade Ministry announced that arrangements are being made to export (17, 000) tons of gum Arabic to the United States this year across the UAE and a number of other countries, stressing that Sudan’s government has been intensifying the exports to provide the foreign exchange.
The Director of exports at the Ministry, Abdul Aziz Abu Taleb, told Sudanese Media Center (SMC) on Friday that the exports volume of Gum Arabic to America amounts 8 million dollars a year, indicating of the gum is one of the major items in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, etc., referring to the export of gum Arabic to Arabic and European States.
Abu Taleb noted that Sudan has large amounts of fertile land to produce Gum Arabic which desirable by the international market, adding that the government interests to the productive sectors, especially non-oil products for the national economy.
