Sudan’s Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, will give the country’s speech before the Arab Ministerial Council in Cairo. The spokesman of Sudan’s Foreign Ministry, Ali Al-Sadiq, said in press statements on Saturday that Sudan will confirm Sudan’s position about efforts to defuse the crisis in Libya, pointing out that Karti speech will contain Sudan's support to the sincere efforts to reform and development of the Arab League and the system of the joint action, including the activation of Arab Peace and Security Council and the treaty of the joint Arab defense, in addition to support Sudan to the Arabic efforts to collect the parties in Yemen and support the movement of the international envoy.
Al-Sadiq that the top Sudanese diplomat will brief the Arab ministers on the current political situation in Sudan, especially the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States, noting that the agenda of this session includes three drafts on Sudan, the first is about peace and development support in Sudan, and the second is the unjust siege imposed on Sudan by the United States, and third one is welcoming partial lifting of US sanctions on Sudan.
The ambassador added that the meetings will also take up the issue of restructuring the Arab League and the amendment of the Arab League Charter as well as other issues related to the Arab security and the fight against terrorism and extremist groups next to discuss the situation in Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen and Sudan, in addition to issues related to media
