Jan 16, 2015-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Sudanese and Arab activists, intellectuals and media professionals announced their joint the campaign launched by the Arabic alliance for Sudan and Cairo-based Arabic Net for Crisis Information to release all political Sudanese prisoners and those who detained on ethic and political basis
The head of the Sudanese Studies Center, which closed by Sudanese Authorities, Haidr Ibrahim, described the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) as the one of the worst regimes that governed Sudan, pointing out that the current regime has blocked the constitution and law.
He confirmed the need to active and contiguous work to intensify the campaign to disclose the huge number of the detainees in the all parts of the country, noting that the ruling party gives the international community so different image to what is happening inside
“When people protest in Sudan and demand to release the detainees, the government ignores that, but the regime deals seriously with the foreign pressure” He asserted
He noted to the phenomenon of the kidnapping of the activists and taking them to unknown locations by the members of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), pointing out that this phenomenon is growing and practiced by the authorities in areas of wars and crises.
For her part, the head of African department at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, Amani Al-Taweel, said that the Arab uprisings have taught us the security solutions don’t safeguard the safety and continuity of the political system, calling on all media professionals, researchers, and human rights activists to concern what is Sudanese people facing such as arrests, torture, and kidnapping at the hands of the security authorities
