Sudan’s Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM transforms to a political party

December 28, 2014-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), led by the President of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), Dr. Al-Tijani Al-Sisi, announced that it has transformed to a political party under the name of “Liberation and Justice Party”
At press conference on Sunday, the LJM Political Secretary of the Movement, Bahar Idriss Abu Garda, who is also the Federal Minister of Health, said that they have decided to become officially a political party bearing the name liberation and Justice Party, pointing out that his movement actually began in the practical arrangements for implementing the transformation, noting that communication made with The Resister of the Political Parties and National Elections Commission (NEC) for the purpose of notification and the practical application of this transformation
Abu Garda added that they made contact with political forces including the ruling National Congress Party and the Popular Congress Party (PCP) and would continue to do so with other political forces, confirming that his movement supports the conduct of elections provided they are free and fair and monitored locally, regionally and internationally.
He announced that the movement would send delegations to all states of the Sudan to consult with their bases, disclosing that they will hold the party's second general convention to name candidates for all levels of elections.
