December 23, 2014-Khartoum-SudaneseOnline- Sudan’s Foreign Ministry summoned on Monday the Jordanian Ambassador to Khartoum Ayed Gameel Al-Dararga and informed him Sudan’s protest and condemn in the strongest terms to the intervention of the Deputy Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations, which was delivered in response to the statement by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) before the U.N Security Council
In press statements on Monday, the spokesman of Sudan’s Foreign Ministry, Yousif Al-Kordofani, stressed that Jordan’s statement before the U.N Security Council was a reproduction of what is demanded by ICC Prosecutor against Sudan, pointing out that that they had been surprised about Jordan’s remarks as it comes from an Arab State's sister, in addition to its incompatibility with the Arab and Muslim positions which refuse completely ICC positions against Sudan.
Al-Kordofani stressed the need for a formal and public apology from Jordan, especially which all Sudanese people strongly denounced this unjustified position, which is not consistent with the nature of the distinguished fraternal relations between the two countries and their two brotherly peoples.
For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador to Khartoum expressed his country's keenness to develop relations of fraternity and cooperation with Sudan, confirming absence of any change in Jordanian policy towards Sudan, explained that the statement of the Deputy Permanent Representative of Jordan at the New York meeting was an offhand and unscheduled or supported by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry
He stressed Jordan's keenness to contain the situation in order to maintain the distinct brotherly relations between the two countries.
